Dr. Pouliot has an interest in acute and chronic spinal and orthopedic pain, and is trained in advanced interventional pain techniques, from fluoroscopic guided spinal injections to spinal cord stimulation and implantable drug delivery systems for chronic pain. He has experience treating adults and pediatric patients who have a variety of different pain disorders, including cancer-related pain. He is also trained in electrodiagnostic testing for common nerve problems.
Dr. Pouliot’s fellowship in pain medicine was completed at the State University of New York Upstate Medical University, Syracuse, NY, in the department of anesthesia. He is board certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation. His residency was in physical medicine and rehabilitation, also at SUNY Upstate Medical University, and he served one year as chief resident. Dr. Pouliot attended medical school at Kansas City University of Medicine and Bio Sciences.
